Biophysics, Structural Biology and Biomathematics (BSBB) Multidisciplinary Training Area

Modern research in biomedical sciences is inherently multidisciplinary because it attempts to integrate the investigation of biological systems with rigorous approaches of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Mount Sinai's Multidisciplinary Training Area in Biophysics, Structural Biology and Biomathematics aims to provide trainees with the conceptual, methodological, and practical foundations needed for research careers in modern biophysics, structural biology and bioinformatics, and biomathematics. The program provides outstanding opportunities to select current biological problems and trains students to design and execute a research plan to explore the molecular, structural, and dynamic properties of biological systems using modern quantitative approaches in biophysics, structural biology, bioinformatics and biomathematics.
